There are many types of bikers. There are the mountain bikers who’s downhill runs and jumps might terrify some. Cyclist’s need for speed might cause them to miss the scenic views. Then there are the bikers who put themselves through miles after miles of road. Freshman Outdoor Product Design student Jack Dorrance recommends the Salsa Journeyman 700c gravel bike.
“It’s a light bike with a very aggressive stance that makes it easy to use and navigate on the trails and for long-distance rides. I would recommend the product to anyone who is interested in a high-quality bike that can be modularized for almost any type of ride or environment. I bought the bike from a local bike shop in Illinois and was able to work with their staff to make sure I got the best bike I could within my budget.”
The Salsa Journeyman is a great all-road bike for backroads, bike packing or gravel riding. This bike’s price ranges from $700 to $1,000.
“One of my favorite experiences was when my father and I rode 37 miles on a gravel trail in the countryside to my aunt’s house. After the long ride, we simply got off our bikes and jumped directly into her pool.”
